Resolution:
Symantec backup exec 2010 does not automatically install active directory recovery agent. You must buy a new license to have this feature.

There has been a rash of viruses, you get this Virus by clicking on an undeliverable message and it asks you to click on a link to see the underliverable message. But if you look at the message closely the email it was sent to shoukd be one you never heard of before.
A customer in Uxbridge MA, who called us that they no longer had access to files on their Windows 2003 Server R2 Edition. Turns out the Symantec Endpoint security was installed, and not properly configured.
The network Intrusion feature actually was blocking other systems from accessing the network share. We disabled the intrusion detection and everything started working again. Obviously, this was not the answer to the problem just the quick fix to get people working again.
The solution was to create a rule in the firewall section of the intrusion detection portion to allow traffic to the local network. Once that was done the system was fixed.
